  • Tell us a bit about you

My name is Victoria. I am from Las Vegas, Nevada, but have been bouncing around the country studying and performing acting for the last six years. I believe my superpower is my positive attitude! I easily forgive and try to find the silver lining wherever I can. When I am not meditating, you can find me playing guitar, teaching acting to kids, doing yoga, or eating ice cream! YUM!

  • If you had a magic wand, how would you change the world?

I would give kids the confidence to embrace their unique selves. To find that light inside that makes them special, and to share it with the world. Kids who grow up embracing their differences are less likely to show hatred to someone who might differ from themselves. They will also feel the confidence to believe in themselves, when it seems no one else does.

  • Why did you start meditating/practicing mindfulness and what keeps you returning to your practice?

I started meditating when I started teaching yoga. I keep coming back to it because of the profound change I notice within myself. It is a time with myself. My life is quite hectic, so any moment that I can be with myself, to look in, is magical. Meditation allows me to organize the million thoughts in my head—not stifle them, but manage them.

  • How does meditation affect your sense of belonging, community and connection?

When I feel more connected to myself, I feel more connected to everything around me. Additionally, I like to practice positive affirmations, which leave me feeling invincible. I feel I have purpose and can rock any situation.

  • What are your hopes for Be Meditation?

I hope to create an environment that is safe and supportive, where students can try new techniques, be vulnerable, and make mistakes. I want to create an environment that fosters self-love and love for others. A place to heal.
