Preparing for the holidays is about your mindset, mindful practices and enjoying yourself 🎄

If this time of the year is spent connecting to others through feast and festivities, here is your gentle reminder that you don’t have to sacrifice your wellness during this time of year.

Being mindful while celebrating will help you stay happy and healthy during the holiday season ⏳

There are many ways to enjoy without feeling the need to indulge.

Here are a few thoughts around creating a balance when it comes to wellness and festivities during the holidays:

– Don’t allow your morning and evening routines to fall to the wayside. Wellness practices surrounding sleep, meditation, exercise and similar will help keep you grounded in the behaviors that best serve you.

– Continue to drink as much (or more!) water as possible throughout the holidays. Low-calorie or sparkling waters can be a great substitute if you find it better for your wellness to completely limit alcohol intake, which can contribute to weight gain and inflammation.

– Snack on vegetables or fruit option rather than dips, cheeses or chocolates (or don’t be afraid to bring your own that better suit your individual nutritional needs!). At meal time, be sure to fill your plate with quality proteins and non-starchy vegetables like broccoli, greens, carrots or a side salad.

What kind of strategies do you have in place around the holiday to stay feeling your most well self? 🙏🏼
