While many adults have embraced meditation as a tool to reduce stress and manage anxiety, children can also benefit deeply from these practices. Young people are finding their place in the world, learning to manage their time, and working to understand themselves—all very tall tasks.

And with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic rattling our collective sense of security and upheaving our daily lives, there’s no better time than now to start building a practice with your kids.

This is why the Be Meditation team is kicking off a new meditation program for parents and children between the ages of 9 and 15. The program will meet once a week for 30 minutes on Wednesdays at 11:30 am PT. The first session will take place on April 15.

We’ll focus on techniques to help increase focus, help with concentration, and promote a sense of calm. Activities will include breathing techniques and meditations like body scans. The program is free for anyone interested until our current health crisis has passed. For more information, or to sign up, click here.
